Parents & Students First

The relationship between a parent and their child is unbreakable. Schools are here to support that bond, not get in the middle. Parents have the right to know exactly what is being taught to their child. If teachers present material that could be interpreted as morally or religiously unacceptable by PARENTS, parents should have the right to review the material ahead of time and OPT-IN if they want their child to experience it - not the current (and flawed) opt-out policy.

In all but extreme extenuating circumstances (in which law enforcement would be involved), parents have the absolute right to know about all conversations the school is having with their child, including, but not limited to, conversations about sexual orientation and mental health.
