Sterling, VA — Amy Riccardi, independent candidate for Loudoun County School Board representing Sterling, issued the following statement today in response to the recent incident involving a female student identifying as male using the boys' locker room at Stone Bridge High School:

Sterling, VA — Amy Riccardi, independent candidate for the Loudoun County School Board representing the Sterling District, issued the following statement after attending a three-hour public comment period on Tuesday evening regarding Policy 8040, the policy permitting students to use facilities based on their gender identity rather than their biological sex.

“A student had to have Narcan and an AED used to revive them. That happened during the day. And that night, [the superintendent] was here for a listening session and said nothing about it,” Riccardi said.
